Hello, chickadees! Hope everyone had a wonderful weekend.
Friday, we took the kids to an adorable '50's style ice cream parlor in the neighborhood. It was so much fun, our food (a Berries and Biscuit sundae, the pastrami and sauerkraut sandwich, and a coffee egg cream) was crazy good, and since we got there as a birthday party in the backroom was ending, the girls even got pink balloons, much to their delight.
Saturday, P1 and I went for a walk to jump in some puddles after a little summer shower, and then I met up with some girlfriends for a hilarious comedy show (seriously, I laughed so hard that by intermission my cheeks hurt). Sunday, thanks to some grandparent babysitters, J and I caught a matinee of Crazy Rich Asians, which was a dreamy, glamorous romantic fairy tale (#representationmatters), and followed it up with a late lunch at a new little spot in our neighborhood that was so yummy. Everything on the menu looks pretty standard but when you actually eat it, it's crafted with some kind of magic that elevates it and makes it irresistible.
Such a fun (rather uncharacteristically exciting) weekend, and a nice balance of family, friend, and date time. Ready now for whatever the week has to bring!
