Sloane Crosley's new book, Look Alive Out There. Had to buy it after watching her give a reading at the park a few nights ago (along with Franchesca Ramsey, who was great - her new book, Well, That Escalated Quickly, is next on my reading list).
Former Obama speech writer Jon Lovett's podcast, Lovett or Leave It. He gets great guests, and his rants hit that perfect sweet spot of angry and hilarious.
Sun Bum's coconut lip balm with SPF 30. Love how it feels, how it smells and the added sun protection it provides.
Quiet time: my new fave is stealing a few minutes of quiet time by myself (when I can) on a comfy couch in a sun-drenched nook in this cool newish cafe that's opened up in the neighborhood. Their cold brew is fantastic (and sustainably and ethically sourced), their air conditioning is on point (especially important these days), and the cafe is airy and bright and plant-filled. It is filling the void left when the beloved coffee shop around the corner from our apartment suddenly closed (is it odd that I felt a little hurt that they closed on me so suddenly? Like I'd just been dumped almost). And unlike so many other cafes, there's plenty of seating, so you don't feel rushed if you're lingering over your coffee with a particularly good book.
